LARRY KENT | Founder / President
Project Executive
Larry Kent founded Kent Construction in 1996 and has led the company’s growth into a trusted general contractor delivering complex projects across education, commercial, and public sectors. Over the course of his career, he has overseen more than $400 million in construction, guiding projects from early preconstruction through successful completion.
A graduate of California Polytechnic State University, Larry remains actively engaged in executive oversight, providing leadership in preconstruction strategy, contract approach, and overall project direction. He works closely with project teams and clients to align scope, budget, and schedule—ensuring each project is positioned for successful execution from the outset.
His leadership is grounded in a disciplined, execution-focused approach, with an emphasis on risk management, constructability, and proactive coordination.
SAM KENT | Chief Operating Officer / Vice President
Sam Kent leads operations and project delivery across Kent Construction, with direct oversight from preconstruction through field execution. With a background spanning both field operations and project management, he brings a practical, end-to-end understanding of how projects are built—and how to deliver them efficiently.
Throughout every phase, Sam maintains active involvement in project performance, working closely with project managers and superintendents to drive production, resolve challenges early, and keep projects aligned with schedule, budget, and client expectations.
Deeply rooted in the local community, Sam emphasizes strong client relationships built on trust, accountability, and consistent delivery. His approach is centered on being a reliable partner to local developers, school districts, and businesses—bringing a hands-on, responsive mindset to every project.
LORI KENT | Business Development / Vice President
Lori Kent plays a key leadership role in driving Kent Construction’s long-term growth and market presence. As a shareholder, she is directly involved in shaping the company’s strategic direction, with a focus on expanding client relationships, strengthening partnerships, and positioning Kent for continued success.
A graduate of University of California, Santa Barbara, Lori leads business development and marketing efforts with an emphasis on relationship-driven growth, community engagement, and maintaining Kent’s reputation as a trusted, locally rooted builder.
JACQUE MORTON | Chief Financial Officer
Jacque Morton plays a central leadership role in guiding Kent Construction’s financial strategy, operational stability, and long-term growth. She oversees all financial functions including accounting, bonding, insurance, and corporate compliance, ensuring the company is structured to successfully deliver projects at scale.
With decades of experience supporting Kent’s growth, Jacque provides strategic direction on risk management, financial planning, and operational structure—enabling the company to take on increasingly complex and high-value work with confidence.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT LEADERSHIP
GREG FILICE | Senior Project Manager
Greg Filice serves as a senior project leader at Kent Construction, bringing decades of experience delivering complex projects across education, commercial, and specialty sectors. His role spans preconstruction through closeout, providing continuity and leadership across all phases of project delivery.
During preconstruction, Greg works closely with clients, design teams, and trade partners to define project approach, evaluate constructability, and align scope with budget and schedule. His early involvement helps identify risks, establish realistic project parameters, and position projects for efficient execution.
Throughout construction, Greg maintains oversight of coordination, sequencing, and overall project performance. He works directly with project managers and field teams to ensure production is maintained, challenges are addressed proactively, and project objectives are consistently met.
With extensive experience managing phased construction and occupied campus environments, Greg provides stability and leadership on complex projects—driving disciplined execution and delivering reliable results for clients.
JOHN ANDERSON | Project Manager
John Anderson leads project execution at Kent Construction, bringing a structured and detail-driven approach to coordination, planning, and overall delivery. His background in land development and commercial construction provides a strong foundation for managing both site and building scopes.
Throughout construction, John is responsible for maintaining alignment between subcontractors, consultants, and field teams—ensuring communication, coordination, and production remain consistent. He plays a key role in tracking progress, resolving issues proactively, and maintaining overall project performance.
John also supports and leads assistant project managers, providing guidance on project workflows, coordination, and execution. His leadership helps develop internal team strength while maintaining consistency across projects.
MATT ADAMKIEWICZ | Project Manager
Matt Adamkiewicz leads project execution at Kent Construction with a strong focus on coordination, cost control, and maintaining production in the field. With a background in field engineering, he brings a practical, hands-on understanding of construction operations and how work is executed on site. During preconstruction and early project phases, Matt works with project teams and trade partners to align scope, schedule, and logistics—helping ensure projects are set up for efficient execution. His ability to understand field conditions and sequencing allows him to anticipate challenges and support proactive planning.
Throughout construction, Matt works closely with superintendents and subcontractors to maintain progress, resolve issues in real time, and keep projects moving forward. His approach emphasizes accountability, clear communication, and maintaining momentum to meet project milestones and overall performance goals.
JOE MENDOZA | Assistant Project Manager
Joe Mendoza supports project execution and coordination across both field and office operations. He works closely with project managers and superintendents to assist with scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and project documentation.
His role bridges field execution with project management, helping maintain alignment between daily jobsite activities and overall project objectives.

DARRELL PAIGE | Senior Superintendent
Darrell Paige is a senior field leader at Kent Construction, bringing over two decades of experience managing jobsite operations. He provides leadership across all phases of construction, from site mobilization through project completion.
Darrell is responsible for coordinating subcontractors, maintaining schedule performance, and ensuring work is executed safely and efficiently. His experience across complex and phased projects allows him to anticipate challenges, maintain production, and deliver consistent results in demanding environments.
BART HOOGSTEDE | Superintendent
Bart Hoogstede brings over 30 years of construction experience, with a strong background in commercial, mixed-use, and wood-framed construction. He leads jobsite operations with a focus on quality, sequencing, and craftsmanship.
CHRIS CARDENAZ | Superintendent
Chris Cardenas has developed through multiple field roles at Kent Construction and has been with the company for over 15 years, bringing a strong understanding of jobsite operations and team coordination. He leads day-to-day construction activities with a focus on maintaining production, safety, and schedule. Chris works closely with subcontractors and project teams to ensure alignment in the field, addressing issues proactively and keeping work progressing efficiently. His experience and hands-on approach support reliable execution across all phases of construction.
As a key leader in the company’s development, Chris plays an important role in mentoring the next generation of field staff—helping build internal strength while maintaining Kent’s standards of execution across its projects.

Jorge Morelos has progressed through the trades into a leadership role, bringing hands-on construction experience and strong field management capabilities. His background provides a practical understanding of how work is executed, allowing him to effectively manage crews and coordinate daily operations. Jorge is responsible for maintaining production, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring that work is completed safely and efficiently.
BRENDAN LERMA | Superintendent
Brendan Lerma has been with Kent Construction for over 10 years, overseeing field operations on large-scale projects, including education and public works environments. He is responsible for coordinating subcontractors, maintaining schedule milestones, and ensuring work progresses according to plan.
CHRIS MADEWELL | Superintendent
Chris Madewell brings a well-rounded perspective to field leadership, with experience as both an owner’s representative and a superintendent. He is responsible for managing daily jobsite activities, coordinating subcontractors, and maintaining schedule performance.
JERRY CHARLSON | Superintendent
Jerry Charlson brings over 40 years of construction experience, including extensive work in hospitality and commercial construction. He specializes in hotel projects and large-scale developments, bringing a deep understanding of complex building systems, sequencing, and coordination. He provides senior-level field leadership on complex, high-visibility projects, ensuring work is executed to a high standard while maintaining schedule, quality, and overall project performance.

Abraham Hernandez leads field operations across Kent Construction projects, overseeing daily jobsite execution, subcontractor coordination, and schedule performance. KELLIE SILIHANEK | Project Engineer / Labor Compliance
Kellie Silihanek supports project delivery through detailed document control, contract administration, and public works compliance. She manages project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, and closeout requirements, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all projects. Kellie also performs certified payroll compliance monitoring for DIR on prevailing wage projects, working with subcontractors and project teams to ensure adherence to labor compliance requirements. Her role supports alignment with regulatory standards and contributes to organized, well-managed project execution.
JEANETTE RAMOS | Accounts Payable / Insurance Compliance
Jeanette Ramos manages accounts payable and insurance compliance at Kent Construction, supporting financial operations across all projects. She is responsible for processing vendor payments, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring subcontractors meet insurance requirements.
ELSA GONZALEZ | Human Resources / Payroll
